Creating opportunities for local students through education
Chances for Children has partnered with Sunraysia Institute of TAFE (SuniTAFE) to offer a tertiary scholarship that supports young people in continuing their studies. This partnership aims to help students gain the skills and qualifications they need to pursue their future careers.
The Chances and SuniTAFE scholarship provides eligible students with up to $5,000 per year, reducing financial barriers and making education more accessible for young people across the region.
Eligibility criteria
To apply for a Chances and SuniTAFE scholarship, applicants must:

Be an Australian citizen

Be aged 24 or under

Live in north west Victoria or south west New South Wales

Be able to demonstrate financial hardship

Be enrolled to study at one of the SuniTAFE campuses
Selection process
Scholarship recipients are selected by the Chances for Children District Selection Committee based on:

A written application addressing the eligibility criteria and including referee reports

An interview with representatives from Chances for Children and SuniTAFE

Final approval by the Chances Coordinator and SuniTAFE representatives
