Keeping Kids at Secondary School
Financial circumstance and rural isolation can often impact on a young person’s capacity to achieve their goals.
Chances works to ensure that money does not stand in the way of a young person’s ability to achieve their maximum potential.
Chances plays an important role in ensuring children and young people have the resources required to participate and engage in all aspects of community life, including school. Chances has in the past supported secondary school students with costs associated with expensive subjects, as well as assisting families with other school related costs.
To meet the increase in demand, Chances has received funding from philanthropic trusts, targeted specifically at supporting secondary school students who are at risk of dropping out, to remain at school, by assisting with the some of the costs associated with schooling.
