Wentworth & District Community Bank ® Branch Chances Scholarship

Do you reside in NSW?

You may be eligible to apply for the Wentworth & District Community Bank ® Branch – Chances for Children Scholarship.

This scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for up to four years of study.


Are you eligible to apply?

The Wentworth & District Community Bank ® Branch and Chances for Children Scholarships will be available to applicants who are: 
  • Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
  • residing in the Wentworth LGA
  • are able to demonstrate financial hardship
 
The scholarship must be taken up in the year it is offered, acceptance of the scholarship offer cannot be deferred.  If an applicant declines the scholarship offer, the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible applicant.
The Selection and Award Process

  • The recipients of the Scholarship shall be identified by the Chances for Children District Selection Committee on the basis of an application which addresses the eligibility criteria and which contains referee reports
  • The successful recipient will be notified by a member of the Chances for Children team.
  • Upon being awarded the scholarship, all recipients will be required to write a short initial letter of thanks to their scholarship donor – the Wentworth & District Community Bank ® Branch, with further reports on a yearly basis.
